My name is Thomas Austin, a licensed clinical social worker and therapist with over a decade of experience working with adults, teens, and couples in Denver, CO. In my years of providing therapy and coaching I have learned what works and frankly, what doesn't. I believe there is a better way to support clients through mental health struggles with a combination of therapy and coaching. I have created Colorado Life Therapy to do just that. My mission is to connect you with trusted, local, dedicated providers to build a healthier Colorado, one session at a time.
Consistency is a major indicator of effectiveness in therapy, however, going to therapy once a week isn’t always an option. That's where we come in.
After many years of providing individual therapy and couples counseling, I began to notice a pattern. Many people who came to see me didn’t really NEED therapy, what they needed was support and guidance on their journey to wellness. Unfortunately, in order to receive this support they often had to pay huge amounts of money each month to talk to a therapist, and usually, it still wasn’t enough. It is well-understood that the most effective frequency for therapy is to talk to someone weekly.
At Colorado Life Therapy, we are trained therapists and we use a combination of therapy and coaching techniques to help you reach your goals. We can help you manage difficult emotions, teach coping skills, and partner with you to build strategies for mental wellness that actually work. By utilizing a combination of evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Executive Functioning, and Mindfulness Coaching, we can help you build a plan that works for you. We use a combination of traditional face-to-face therapy and coaching sessions along with weekly check-ins help keep you motivated and hold you accountable to your goals.
This intensive plan includes weekly video sessions with your provider as well as unlimited messaging via our secure platform. This is a great place to start if you have never done therapy or coaching in the past.
Our most popular plan includes bi-weekly video sessions with your provider as well as weekly check-ins via messaging on our secure platform. This is for anyone serious about making changes in their life and motivated to jump into action.
Our most basic plan includes an initial session focused on goal-setting and treatment planning. You will have monthly video sessions with a trained mental health provider as well as weekly messaging on our secure platform.
