CBT sessions are 50 minutes long and can take place either in our office or via video appointment based on your schedule and location. Sessions will start on a weekly basis unless a more appropriate treatment schedule is recommended.
While CBT forms the basis of most modern therapeutic practices, it may not be the most effective treatment when it comes to complex trauma, extreme anxiety or panic, or addiction.

The mindfulness and meditation work outside of the office makes DBT an effective treatment plan but may require a longer or ongoing treatment period before experiencing long-term results.
The success of DBT relies heavily on your dedication to do the work outside of your scheduled therapy sessions. Results are directly tied to your commitment and consistency.

EFT may be used as a tool throughout a variety of treatment options. It is most effective for reconnecting with the emotional self. It is not as straightforward, logic-based, or solution-focused as CBT.

IFS take place in a similar fashion to traditional talk-therapy. You can expect to talk with your therapist during 50-minute sessions and learn to distinguish and communicate with your many different “parts.” It can be done both in-person and virtually.
IFS can be a more advanced technique and may not be suitable for people new to therapy. It does require the individual to feel fully centered in themselves and may be a modality that is utilized once a therapeutic relationship has been establish for some time.
